Mr. Hemond was Appropriations Coordinator for the Michigan House of Representatives before joining GCSI and reported directly to the honorable Appropriations Chairman George Cushingberry. He also previously served as a legislative assistant for Representative Marsha Cheeks.

Before getting into politics, Mr. Hemond was a professor of political science at Saginaw Valley State University. The Detroit native holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in political science from Michigan State University.
